I've asked the computer for help, but I didn't really
find anything that involved it not printing the borders.
More so, it was asking me to make sure that I had black
borders and the right margins, etc.
I am using Excel 2000 SP-3 on XP with an HP Color Laser
Jet 4550 PCL 5c printer. The borders I am using are
black.
All of the other machines are printing to the same
printer. How would I know if it was a printer driver
problem and how would I fix that?
Thanks for the feedback so far - I would definitely
appreciate more!

Hi Jessica,
Perhaps remind us what "I've gone through all of the trouble shooting"
really means..
A Google search: xl site:support.microsoft.com
borders
not printing
didn't turn up anything specific just that you might want to make sure
you've installed the latest service pack for Excel.
A Google Groups (newsgroups) search:
missing gridlines print group:*Excel*
Turns up reminders that cell color or border color
wipes
out gridlines,
but you say it works on other machines. Try using black borders
anyway to make sure -- black just in case black is the only ink not
dried up in a color printer.
It could be a printer driver problem. Also check the print resolution.
If you have a draft mode you may very well be missing gridlines.
What kind of printer, what operating system, already know you
have Excel 2000 but not what Service pack.
I have Excel 2000 SP-3
in Excel HELP, About, I see
Microsoft(R) Excel 2000 (9.09.6926 SP-3)
you might check your machine and the other machines
and if the other machines have the same printer.

I have Excel 2000 on my computer and when I print a file
with lines or borders, they don't show up - text only!
I've gone through all of the trouble shooting, I
have
the
same settings as everyone else on my network, and the
files I create on my computer print out fine on other
people's computers.
Can anyone think of what might be wrong? Please help! I
would really appreciate it.
