I have not resealed my image yet. I've been making some
post-build modifications and just enabled EWF. I then had
to disable it but it wont disable. I get the
error "Failed setting the protected volume configuration
with error 87" when I issue "ewfmgr c: -disable".

Any ideas are appreciated.

Tim

KM,

I forgot about the config partition and probably lost it
when I created and extended partition with the rest of
the disk.

Is there any way for it to be recreated or do i need to
run through FBA again?

Tim,

Are you using EWF without Config partition? Then you
won't be able to use "disable" command.

Tim,

If you really need "disable" command to work (that is only the reason I can think of to not use registry EWF RAM), you will probably
need to run through FBA again. It will initialize and install the EWF driver. At that time EWF Config partition is created.

KM,

Does this mean I should not be using Slobodan's EWF RAM
component? Should I use the XPE EWF?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

If you can't live with ewfmgr c:-commitanddisable switch for some reason and you must use -disable switch then you will have to use
original MS EWF component with ewf partition.
BTW: for more info read rtf files that I wrote along with component you have this described there.

Best regards,
Slobodan
