every doc now has additional info "windows\application Data\Microsoft\Word\QutoR

Recently, I inadvertently sent a doc to the trash bin and
then "restored" it. Ever since then, any document I
create (or preexisting doc that I Open) comes up with an
additional page of several lines such as:
3
3
3
Unknown User:\Windows\Application
Data\Microsoft\Word\qutoRecovery save of" and then the
name of the doc. THEN
"My Documents\(name of doc),on.doc
Times Roman
Symbol
Unknown User
Normal
Unknown User
Microsoft Word 9.0
Root Entry
1Table
WordDocument
SummaryInformation
CompObj
ObjectPool
MSWordDoc
Word.Document.8

I can't delete it (it just resurfaces when I re-open the
doc). I can't create a new doc and cut and past bec THAT
new doc automatically comes back with the attached info.

ALSO---------
I must have hit something (I remember looking at 'macro'
and 'hyperlink' that same time frame while Restoring the
doc I was working on. Could I have altered some file
location or something. Any suggestions from anyone?
THANKS.

In the File > Open dialog box, make sure that the "Files of type"
option is set to "Word documents (*.doc)" rather than "Recover
Text from Any File." Does that solve the problem?

Went to "options" and selected the "Save" tab which has an
option to save word docs and it does say save as "word
document(*.doc)". Is that the dialog box you referred
to? (THANKS AGAIN for any info).

No, I was referring to the dialog box where you open files; just
click "File" on the main menu and point to "Open". Alternatively,
the keyboard shortcut CTRL+O should work. Is "Recover Text from
Any File" selected in the "Files of type" box?

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! I'm back to normal (or as
normal as I can be). I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. Have a
wondeful day. best wishes, cm
