My machine has apparently got a problem initializing something or other.

"Content index on c:\system volume information\catalog wci. could not be
initialized. Error 3221225477."

Any suggestions that don´t fog my brain, greatfully recieved.

Jules.

When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the
right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a copy to
clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.

Dave, am i missing something? I dont have Office on this machine, what has it
to do with my problem?

I'd try turning off indexing then delete the catalog. Then after restart you
can turn it back on to rebuild the index.

Office has nothing to do with your problem. Follow the steps in the article
to rebuild the possibly corrupt index.

Dave, Seems like rebuilding worked. I will reserve final judgment until i can
see stability in operations. Thanks.
