This is the problem on 2 of my computers.
Windows saved your "Computer Name" registry while an application or service
was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the users
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring
the services to run in either the Local Service or Network Service.
This is my question::: How do I find out which "service" in the "Services"
is causing this ?
I've clicked on the link to go to Help & Support, but it does not tell me
which particular service is causing this and I Do Not want to start changing
all of them, for fear of causing more errors in the Event Viewer.
I have changed some services in order to free up some items running at start
up, on these computers, because of very slow start ups. I have also followed
advice through my readings at the Elder Geek and Black Viper web sites. The
advice is great, but it does not say which " log on " is suppose to be used,
or the default, unless, I've missed something or I've probably messed up some
of these settings along the way. ( I'm great at messing things up ! I'm #1 in
my book...lol ) ;-)
An example of what I'm trying to resolve would be :::Log on as>>Local system
account or this account>>Nt Authority\Local System or should I set everything
to " Profile One and Local System Account.
Can someone please shed some advice on what the " Log On As " is normally
set to in the Services ?
Thank You Very Much In Advance
