May i know that why suddenly my Event Viewer on my
Windows 2000 Server is not working?

What could be the first thing i should troubleshoot?

How can i recover back my Event viewer?

Thanks.

Some details may help.

Previously i got blocked port 135 at firewall level.
After that, it lost it. I already unlocked it, still not
able to view the log files in the Event Viewer.

Thanks.

On the local machine or a remote machine? What does "not able to" mean?
Does Lucifer rise from hell and jab a pitchfork through your mouse, or do
you get an error?

Your details are still sketchy at best. Shouldn't have anything to do with
port filtering. Possible the *.evt files are corrupt. Control
Panel|Administrative Tools|Services|Event Log Service|General, set the
"Startup Type:" to "Disabled" restart the pc, then delete (or move) the
corrupt *.evt files from %windir%\system32\config then set the Event Log
Service "Startup Type:" back to "Automatic", restart for effect.
