Event Viewer entry - EAPOL

Every time I reboot one of the two family laptops that are part of the
household wireless network, I see two entries in the Event Viewer: Event
2003 and Event 2002: Information EAPOL: The description for Event 2002/3 in
source (EAPOL) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the
necessary registry information message or DLL files to display message from
a remote computer... The event log is corrupt.

This started showing up about a week ago (not sure what I was doing then)
but I have no problems with network connections or anything else. I googled
this but didn't get any information I could really understand. Anyone have
any idea what this means? The entries only show up at boot up like when the
network is connecting but it connects wirelessly fine. What event log is it
referring to? I just want some reassurance that something isn't happening
that I should be concerned about.

Thanks.

Do some reading here. Good luck.

Thanks for supplying some more resources but I figured it out on my own
(after going out and clearing my head). What I had done a week ago was to
use the Dell WLAN program to manage my network connections and not XP. So I
just now went to Services and disabled the Zero Wireless Configuration.
Re-booted and no more entries. My simple mind is telling me that XP was
trying to write an event log but the Dell utility had taken over. Or
something like that. Hope this helps someone else.

Glad it's fixed and thanks for posting back with your resolution Shawn.
