H Heath Mason Dec 29, 2003 #1 Is there any way to set up the event viewer to send an email if a critical event happens? Thanks.
G Guest Dec 30, 2003 #2 Hello Heath, Windows does not have any built in - OS event-log monitoring tools, other than the event log itself. You will need to look at 3rd party solutions to acomplish this goal. Windows & .NET Magazine had this link about it - http://www.winnetmag.com/Windows/Article/ArticleID/40712/40712.html A small list of monitoring tools cam be found here. http://www.serverfiles.com/Network_security_software/Event_Log_Monitoring/ Hope this information helps, Lowell Allen III - MSFT
