This is the error that I found in my event log last week. It appeared in the log when the PC was idle. The PC is running fine, and had I not looked in the log, I wouldn't have found this. I did a Scandisk (8kbs bad sector) on my 80Gig drive and I Degragged. I do have a year left on my extended warranty, but it's bugging me that the hard drive is humming along just fine. Does anyone know how reliable these warnings are? I backed up but this is not a good time for me to be replacing my hard drive. Any suggestions/experience with this error

Mary, thanks for your reply. Although it pertained to Windows 2000, the event seems the same

I've already backed up and am pulling my extended (thank God) at-home service warranty out of filing
