I keep seeing this message in my event log the connection
to the internet made by user using device irda11-1 was
disconnected, it is not the name of any od the computers
on my network and it is not a wireless network what could
that be?

Could you paste the message from the log here? Does that show as a device in your
device manager? I wonder if it has anything to with your infra red port, assuming you
are using a device that has one. --- Steve

network consists of a server 2 computers and a notebook
could someone be connecting to the network by the
notebooks ir port?

Well that is what I suspected. I don't have much experience with IR ports,
but I though that is what the device name may have indicated. I thought
maybe you had an entry in the event log. --- Steve
