Event Log entries don't show

Since downloading latest update for W2K Server, when I
open the Event Log, it shows over 5,000 entries in System
Log, but none are viewable. Then, when I go to
Application, it reads 0 entries. All logs show 0 entries
after that. BUT, if I refresh, I can see them.

Anyone know how to resolve this, or do I need to wait for
the next Microsoft update?
