Hi All

Question:
We have a dell 4600 windows 2003 server running as our
print server(PDC running AD). The clients are Dells
running WinXP Pro. The printers are a also some Dells and
some HP's all setup using TCP/IP ports, configured on the
Windows 2003 server and they are shared and users are
printing to them fine...Problem is every evening around 6-
7pm, people are finding that their systems are freezing
when they attempt to print anything to the printers...we
thought that it may have been network disconnect but we
changed to ludicrous amount of time. The network is a
100mps and should not have any problems handling the
workload even if it was busy....Anyone have any ideas
whats going on?

I am having the same issue. Users are running applications on their local
machines with data stored on the server. Access is through a mapped network
drive. Between 6pm and 7pm all the users are disconnected from the network
drives and the applications crash because the data source is disconnected.
Apps include quickbooks, omniform, word, excel.

We need help!!!

I am having a similar problem but it happes at about 5pm
running an hpml350g3 windows 2003 with client xpsp1 and win98

could there be a problem the moment the tape is placed in the server ?
