Additionally for AV, he should c entry 4 it when rt-clk
any file/folder. The icon u spoke of is from startup in
RUN hive of Registry. So he could have disabled it but
I doubt if he did.
Note the very handy SNOOZE option when rt-clk the icon.

|recently installed Etrust internet security suite and got two new icons in
|the system tray, (taskbar right - if using the default desktop layout), one
|for the firewall and one for the antivurus program. The antispyware program
|has to be started manually from your programs menu, within it you can set
|the anti-spyware program to load at startup for "realtime" protection.

|You might need to dig into your taskbar properties and clear the check box
|for "Hide inactive Icons" or "Show all Icons" ...or whatever it's called.
