Does anyone know if its possible to connect two RJ45 cables and not
suffer any degredation in performance or packet loss ?

I believe the total length of the two RJ45 wires would be around 25'
each totalling 50'

The cable is called a "CAT5" cable and the connectors at each end are RJ45
connectors. CAT5 cables are specified for a length of up to 100 meters
(around 300 feet) - see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_5_cable.

yes, and as for signal loss in the connection, very little, imperceptible
