I just bought a new SATA drive and have it in a case that supports USB2
and eSATA. The drive is formatted and partiioned proberly. Works fine
when I have it connected via USB, but if I connect it to eSATA it
freezes "My Computer" and needs a reboot.

This is my home-made PC. My mobo is a couple years old and supports
SATA. My friend gave me his old mobo and I'm not sure if I need to
install specific drivers for SATA. If that's so, I'm not sure how to
find out my exect model of mobo to get drivers specific to it. He
doesn't remember what it is either.
