Yes, and this is even a new installation but the case is the same. And it
happen most of times after playing a presentation not a power point normal
file...??
Can it be a version conflict?

It sounds as though you have an addin of some sort loaded, or some external
program is launching or monitoring PowerPoint.

This should help determine what add-ins (if any) are loaded:

Hi Steve,
Yes I found 3 ADD Ins but how can I get ride of them'?

What addins are they? Check with the author/manufacturer for uninstall
instructions, perhaps. I know ours wouldn't provoke this particular error; I'm
betting that the addin would have to be something written in .Net

You can go to Tools > Add-Ins and unload one at a time, and then close and open
PowerPoint and run your test after each unload to determine which one is
causing the problem.

Hi,

In addition to Sonia's advice, you may need to look for COM's addins. In
that case, you will need to load the COM's addins button from the customise
menu under Tools. COM's addins are usually linked to a dll file (Dynamic
Linked Library).

Hi all,

Really thanks for your help, but unfortunatelly I didn't find any Add
In listed at the normal or COM's ....
Again I want to emphasize that this behavioure happens when I open and close
a PP show not a normal presentation.

Thanks

You can go to Tools > Add-Ins and unload one at a time, and then close and open
PowerPoint and run your test after each unload to determine which one is
causing the problem.

That's true of the usual PowerPoint-made addins but given the error message, I'm
guessing Ibrahim has a COM addin; those don't show up in the Tools, Addins list.

Now I'm confused. Earlier you said you found three.

That could be caused by an addin.

Hi Steve,

Yes I saw the Add In with the help of the VBA sript written at
this thread by Echo. But at the same time they aren't listed at the Add In at
tools.

I hope it's clear now.
Thnx

OK. So you do have addins loaded. Which ones are they, and have you reported the
error to the add-in's developers? Or tried uninstalling each (assuming that they have
an uninstall utility)? If not, ask the developer how to uninstall or at least
temporarily disable them.

Hi,

While I think of it, running:

Msinfo32.exe

in the Start| Run box should bring up a box that will tell you what addins
are installed in PowerPoint, as well as where they are located on your hard
drive.

Hi,

are installed in PowerPoint, as well as where they are located on your hard
drive.

Or from w/in PPT: Help, About, System Information

But either way, all I see is COM addins, and then no path, just the GUID and
stuff.
