Hi All,

I have an old Windows 98 laptop and it is possible to get into a web page
that I am having trouble with a new computer detailed below.

The new computer has Windows XP Professional and has Norton Internet
Security activated as well. The same web page mentioned above does not
display on the new machine. There is a pop up that starts up and then
everything freezes up. The error message is as follows:

Line: 393
Chart: 5
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0

I believe its a setting in Internet Explorer and Norton Internet Security
that is causing the problem. I have enabled pop ups but still cannot access
the site.

Would be very grateful for any ideas on what might be continuing to cause
this error.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Hi,

Try the following:

Close all instances of IE.
Spawn an IE session.
Click on Tools, then Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to 'Browsing' section and check the following option:
Disable script debugging

Uncheck the following option:
Display a notification about every script error.

Click on OK to save and exist Internet Options.
Restart Internet Explorer.

Does this solve your error message?

Regards,

Altrus
