error with outlook Express

Hi,
I have just added my yahoo address to outlook express and
microsoft outlook. But neither of the programmes will
download anything. Whatever I do the message comes up
that "this service does not currently work with outlook"
or "unable to poll new messages from your http account".
I don't understand what to do. Can anyone help?

The free version of Yahoo! Mail does not allow sending/receiving mail from
an external location. Yahoo! expects to get paid for that functionality.
