Error while creating Win2K ERD->"operation failed. Disk file not found"

I have created many ERD in the past on this Win2K server. All of a
sudden while trying to creating a new ERD I get errer message saying,
"Operation failed. Disk file not found or was inaccessible"

Yes, I've checked the floppy disks and I can read and write to them.
Nothing wrong with the floppy drive or disks. I've closed ALL programs
and open windows so there is no "lock" on the floppy disk or drive.

What should I try next in order to create an ERD?

Will a system state backup where the backup file is directed to another
server work as an alternative to the ERD?
