When I try to back up my system using XP backup. Trying to backup to CD-
getting the error Please ensure it is a valid path,& that you have sufficient
access. The backup file name could not be used. Just got system out of shop
that SP2 caused a crash hard drive had to be reformatted lost all programs
including check book. Can't get the back up to work. I am logged on to the
system as computer administor. I wish I could get rid of this log on also and
just be able to turn computer on and go. Any suggestions.
Thanks

The NTBackup is a tape oriented program, that will also back up to files
on Hard disk (and I think is included in XP for the benefit of those
bringing forward such systems from NT). It knows nothing of CDs. If
you install a third party 'packet writing' package like InCD or Direct
CD it can use a single CD-RW formatted by that; but does not recognise
it as removable, and it will not 'span' a set of them. If you want to
backup to CD, get a third party backup - eg BackUP My PC from
