Error when opening excel file from public folder

A user in my company is experiencing the following problem.
When he tries to open an excel file from a public folder, an explorer window
opens with his system32 folder from his own hard drive.
None of the other users are experiencing this problem. Permission for
default is set to reviewer. I've tested on other users computer and they
don't have that problem.

Please help

Try creating a new mail profile for him & see if the problem recurs.
If that doesn't work, try posting in m.p.exchange.clients for more help.
