Hope someone may be able to help. When I attempt to add a
new record on a form or directly into a table I get the
following message:

"The field is too small to accept the amount of data you
attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.
(Error 3163)".

The error appears in all fields and in subforms. I have
checked and adjusted the field property with no effect.
The database worked fine before with about 250 records
entered.

Regards
Raymond

I am having the same problem. Oddly, the application has been running fine
for months. Friday is ran ok but Monday the "field is too small" problem
cropped up. The only change in the interim is that I ran Compact and Repair
on the back-end database.

The "too small" problem now exists on all workstations running the front-end.

Does anyone know the answer? MSDN says nothing about this.
