Error upon boot...

Jeff, you can determine if chkdsk needs to be run by running chkntfs at
a command prompt [Start | Run, type in "cmd" without the qoutes click
OK]. Chkntfs c: will check the C drive. If there is a problem it will
say drive is dirty. If no problems it will say drive is clean.

I did try and invoke a checkdisk upon boot as well as running ZA 5. That is
probably the culprit. Thanks.

That just tells me checkdisk is scheduled to run on next boot. I believe
the problem lies in ZA 5.0 as I've seen other info about that. Thanks.

I'm getting an error upon boot, "Cannot open volume for direct
access". I found an article on MS support that states they are
working on it:

I have more faith in the folks around here. Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, I see your other response. My point is that you can use chkntfs
any any time to determine if you need to schedule chkdsk to run.
