The symantec website has a detect and repair tool and also has the patch.
In the short-term though, to stop your computer from shutting down, type
'shutdown -a' into the Run command when the Remote Procedure Call box
appears. This will abort the shutdown.

| ok my computer constantly brings up a shut down that happens all the time
caused from RCP which i don't know what any of that means! it gives me like
one minute before the shut down happens. i tried to do a disk scan the fix
errors but it didn't work. all the time this happens to me and i thought we
got rid of all the bad stuff on our computer like viruses but it's still
doesn't work. our computer just crashed a few weeks ago but we have a
restore disk but i don't know what's wrong with it!
