..I have changed from ME to an EP computer which now stops responding or
rebooting for an unknown reason. ME had an error reporting system in 'system
information' which gave details of which prog. had caused the problem. Is
there a similar system in XP pro? so that i can a least find out where the
problem starts and either remove or reinstal the software. I have checked
'administrative tools ' on control panel but there is no help there. Can
anyone come up with a sugestion please. It usualy reboots within a few
minutes of starting, and may happen twice and then work perfectly.
thanks in advance

Hi

You can have a look in the Event Viewer for any 'Errors'. From Start>Run
type

eventvwr.msc

then click on one of the options in the left hand pane.

Thanks for the quick reply, i have checked the event viewer. it has given me
error code 6009. following on from that the MS website said that it was
because the user had pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL is there anywhere else this command
could has come from?
