Error only in MS office document scan (Unable to initialize scanne

If anyone can help I would really appreciated. I am all out of solutions. I
have the latest drivers for the scanner, officexp and windows. The scanner
works fine in words, picture it and every other program. But when I try to
scan using MS office document scanning from the ms office tools in Office xp,
I get the error message: Unable to initialize scanner. Check scanner
connection and scanner software. I have done and office repair and
reinstallation of the scanner drivers, but the problem still remains. It
only occurs in microsoft office document imaging. It was working fine before
so I am not sure when this started or what the problems is. Again any help
would really be appreciated.

Let us know the name of manufacturer and model number of the scanner.
