Error on startup

Keep getting error on startup.Here it is

F-StopW (VDD Startengine)
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

any info would be a great help

What antivirus program are you using? Is it F-Prot Antivirus? ... if so you really need to change it to a more XP friendly AV program.
