error msg wrong OS

hi all
i have a serious problem that is when i open any office
document it starts as it is installling it again, and
when i put windows xp office profisional cd in the drive
after the computer asks for it it gives me an erros msg
says can not access office1.cab file make sure it is
accesable, when i try to re install office xp
profisional
from the cd it gives me error msg says that wrong OS,
however when i keep trying opening any office document i
get also another error msg says that :microsoft
powerpoint has not been instaled for the current user
please run set up to install the application" when i try
to go to the update for office web site it also gives me
the error msg that wrong OS which i'm using winxp
proffisional and it is the right operating system, your
kind help is appreciated alot

Ask your question in a newsgroup for Microsoft Office. Try this one:

I should say that you'll stand a better chance of having your question
answered if you use punctuation and good sentence structure.

Could it be because it is asking for the MS Office CD, and not the Windows
XP CD????

it is asking for the MS office CD. and when i put the CD
it gives me another error msg that says : can not access
the file office1.cap make sure the file is accessable.

thank you for your kind replay, however my english is my
second language. i think i should fix my english before i
fix my computer, don't I ?
 
If English is not your first language, you should know that these newsgroups
exist in several languages. You may be able to post and receive help in your
own language. Computer terminology is difficult to understand in any
language, so if you can find someone who can explain things to you in your
own language, so much the better.
