Error Message

I opened Outlook Express to check email today and all my
messages were gone! When I tried to create an email I
got an error message of "There was an error opening this
message. An error has occured." Has anybody ever seen
this before? And why did the program delete all my
messages, even the unread ones?
 
Outlook Express can not open the ".pst" file (Outlook stores all information
in a .pst file - I am not sure if Outlook Express also uses a .pst file or
something else but, either way, it can not open the default data file. This
should help.
