Hello I hope someone can help me.
I've started getting an error message pop up when I start up my pc, I can't
think what I've done to cause it, I've tried to restore my system to an
earlier date but it will not let me. The error message is "RUNDLL Error
loading C:\windows\downloaded program files\bridge.dll".
Can anyone shed some light on the problem because I just don't understand
it.
Thanks in advance

Create a System Restore point;

295299.KB.EN-US HOW TO: Use the System Restore Utility with Windows
Management Instrumentation in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295299

You could use MSCONFIG to help find the problem;

310353.KB.EN-US How to Perform a Clean Boot in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310353

More than likely, the below will correct the problem;

1. Click Start, click Run, type REGEDIT, and click OK.

2. In Registry Editor, navigate to the following key by clicking the PLUS
(+) sign.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

3. If there is an item named RUNDLL32.EXE or related with bridge.dll in the
right pane, please right-click it and choose Delete.

4. Restart your computer to test this issue.

Hope this helps.
