Error message

When I click on an Excel 2003 file a box pops up UNABLE TO READ FILE. I
click OK and the file opens. Anyone have an idea
 
Is there an "Office Plugin" feature of your anti-virus software causing
this problem? If so disable it, it is useless.
 
I do not have this feature in my av software
