For some reason although my computer seems to work OK the
following error message now appears after I boot my
computer up.

Error loading 'C:\WINDOWS\image.new'

also RUNDLL appears on the left side of the lower text
bar - any ideas why?

Thanking any of you guys in anticipation.

Have you tried looking for this file in the location on the message? Open
Windows Explorer and navigate to that location. If the file is there, right
click the file and select Properties to view the details. This may give us a
clue as to where it came from.

Go to Start/Run and type eventvwr.msc and press OK. In the Event Viewer,
select Applications and see if any events have been logged that coincide
with the time you last started the system. If you find something, double
click the event to see the details. Click the Copy icon in the details
dialog box and Paste the details in a reply to this message.

Make sure that you have performed a recent scan for viruses with an up to
date anti-virus program.
