With Vista, each time I attempt to access a web site, up pops the box telling
me that Windows can;t find the site and requests that I recheck spelling,
etc, of web address. Suprisingly, Vista ignores the error message and
accesses the desire web site as commanded. When I exit, however, I have to
close the error message box. Annoying. What must I do to rid myself of that
problem.

I get the same thing too.
I did approach a ng but they couldn't come up with a working answer.
This is yat another vista cock-up.
