Last night I installed a new hard disk and I thought
everything was ok. When I turned it on this morning I am
getting a message on boot up primary ide channel no 80
conductor cable installed. It is so fast you can hardly
read it. Then it starts normally. Is it a problem? Any
ideas? Thank you.

It sounds like you need an 80-pin cable to the new drive and you hooked
it up to a 40-pin cable.

Thanks Malke,
I just was doing a search on 80 cables and realized I was
using the wrong one. I hade one in the closet. Have
already put it in and the message is gone. I did not even
know there was a difference. Learned something today.
Thanks for your reply.
