error message

When I right click on the "my computer" ikon I get the
following message, and then when I click ok, it lets me
get in.

rundll32.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The pocedure entry point emotAssistantePepareSystemRestore
could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll


Also, I have attempted several times to configure a new
Connection using a dial up modem, but when I get to the
point where I am supposed to choose the New Connection
option it is dimmed and I cannot choose it, I have tried
the regedit option that is posted on Microsoft's support
page and that did not work. I also tried reinstalling XP
and that did not work either.

Any suggestions?
