Recently, i have trouble opening several files. I
downloaded a new driver for my Nvidia video card, but i
can't open it. Every time i try to open it i get an
error message saying "Windows cannot access the specified
device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate
permissions to access the item." The driver install is
not the only thing that this is happening with. Many
other install files have the same problem. Help would be
much appriciated. Thanks.

Edit: help! Ive narrowed it down to the files that don't
work. I am unable to open any .exe file. Also, when i
tried restarting my computer, i got the same error
message when it first booted up. The location it gave was
C:\winnt\system32\cmd32* (the cmd part is a guess, i
don't remeber it exactly).

Please help!

Run a scan with a current antivirus program using updated definitions. I
believe you have a virus.
