Recently I upgrade my windows 2000 to windows XP, it
works slower than before. I applied the service pack and
also did disk fragment. No much improvement.
And I sometimes get message like this
------------------
spoolsv.exe -application error

The instruction at "0*00e11896" referenced memory
at "0*00e42108". The memory could not be "read"

Click to terminate the program

---------------

Sometimes is not spoolsv, it's another program like
asadmin.exe, so I guess it may not be a certain
application's problem

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Perfectly normal. Every new MS OS takes more ram/cpu power to run the
same speed as your previous MS OS. When you upgrade your OS, you have to
take into account the new hardware
you may need as well to make it run as fast as your older MS OS.

It's also suggessted that you check out if there are XP specific drivers
for your
hardware which may/should help.
