Please help me with this. I'm getting desperate
I had to replace my hard drive with a new one. Installed my WinXP and
Office03.
At first I had a problem with 2 identical Personal Folders, trying to get
rid of one with tips from the NG and various articles on Help I've now got a
worse problem.
One is that, when I am using my pst file everything is there including my
Contact in the contacts folder, but the address book is empty and has
nothing in the drop down choices.
Second, on Send/Receive I'm getting an error message

"The operation failed. an object could not be found"

I've followed the instructions on Microsoft but that did not help.
I've uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled. I've Uninstalled Office and
Reinstalled.
I have deleted my pst file from it's location, reopened and created a new
pst file, but I still get the same message.
The Accounts are pointing at Personal Folders
Mail in Control Panel also is pointing at Personal folders.
I really don't know what to do about this.
When I copied all my documents to my laptop and pst file, I had absolutely
no problems.
I can't believe this is happening and is now distressing me.
Should I try and earlier version of Outlook?
Should I reformat the whole thing?

You corrupted you mail profile.

What instructions were those?

None of those things will have much effect on whether or not the Address
Book can find your Contacts folder. See if this helps:
