trys to reinstall it, or says it not able to find it. How do I get rid of
this. Sorry new to this.

Remove all files, folders left, using search.
Delete all inavlid aol entries, by running regedit command, HK CURRENT USER
/ Software & HK MACHINE/ Software.
In Servives disable any relating to aol, if present.
Regards!

First, this is bad advice to give to a newbie. It would be better to
tell him to simply do a System Restore to before he uninstalled AOL or
to check in his Startup for AOL entries. We don't really have enough
information from the OP to have him root around in his Registry.

This has nothing to do with your grasp of English. It is admirable that
you are multilingual. However, it is difficult enough to give tech
support in writing about a computer one has never seen to a person who
may know very little about computers without complicating things with a
language barrier. Be very cautious and precise in your advice.

Also, please fix your quoting and your signature. Real newsreaders strip
everything after the signature line so the OP's post is not quoted when
others reply to you. Since you are using the web interface, you may not
realize that this is really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of
this resource if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good
newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook Express since you
already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:

Hello Mr. Malke,

Could be please be a bit more precise what you mean by fixing quote &
signature?
They sound new to me.

You are posting using the CDO (web interface). As I told you in my last
post, these groups are really Usenet newsgroups. People who regularly
use newsgroups use software called a "newsreader" to do this.
Newsreaders give you much flexibility in working with newsgroups. For
instance, I subscribe to many newsgroups and my newsreader lets me
switch between them quickly and easily, mark posts to be watched or
ignored, and lots of other options.

Most newsreaders default to stripping (deleting) all text after the
signature because when quoting, you don't want to clutter up your post
with other posters' signatures. See the little two-dash line after my
name below and before the MS-MVP stuff? That is the signature delimiter
and the MS-MVP stuff is my signature. A signature is by custom limited
to no more than 4 lines of text and can be something about yourself, a
witty saying, or the like.

Because of the way you are posting, when you quote the Original Poster
it comes after your signature, which is stripped out by regular
newsreaders. This makes more work for people trying to reply to you in
a thread because anything you quoted from the OP won't appear in their
reply. If I want to have some of the OP's post quoted - which would be
normally desirable for clarity and continuity in the thread - I have to
copy/paste it in because it doesn't appear automatically in my reply to
you because of your quoting/signature style.

And I am not a "Mr." but a "Ms.".

Hello Ms. Malke,
I apologize for my earlier post, to have written Mr.
Thanks for enlightening me with some basic rules regarding news groups.
At the moment I have to make some rounds & attend to some patients.
Hopefully I will go through the web site you recommended.
Regards!

joe, did you ever get an answer on the installer problem? mine does the same
thing and it drives me crazy. Thanks!

Start -> Run

Type in MSCONFIG

Go to startup, untick anything to do with AOL, OK Restart
