Error message---

When attempting to open a .dbf file an error message is received----
Dos error(4): too many files open - not enough handles.

Does this relate to the Files=20 setting in config. sys file ???
What are file handles ?

Also when exiting program get message: It appears someone has locked a
database to print a report.

I have searched MS KB without any specific answers.

Try changing it to Files=40 and see what happens.

Search for CONFIG.NT - should be in your \SYSTEM32 folder.

What are file handles ?
