I get this error message that says
The system has detected an IP address conflict with another system on the
network. The local interface has been disabled. More details are available in
the system event log. Consult your network administrator to resolve the
conflict.

I get this many times.
How do I fix the problem?? Please tell me how step by step. I looked up on
the microsoft knowledge whatever, but I had no idea how to fix it after
reading the article.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Find the other PC that is using the SAME IP.

For example, if your IP is 192.168.1.10 and another PC tries to use that address then you
and the second PC will get the message.

If this is a SOHO LAN using DHCP, something is wrong !
If this is a corp. LAN contact your MIS/IS department.
If this is a small company, statically set all platforms and keep a spreadsheet or other
list of IP assignments.

If the above is not true, this may be case of somebody try to gain access to your LAN and
is a security breach.

Well, I am using personal laptop at home, so is it the "case of somebody try
to gain access to your LAN"? If so, how can I fix it?

Check the addresses of any/all devices connected on your SOHO LAN.
