Error message

Hello,

I keeping getting a pop-up window with this message:

generic error(on window header)

(e-mail address removed)
internal error[server response:-ERR syntax error]

it pops up about every 10 minutes


It started about the time I canceled my earthlink account.
I've tried everything I can think of and yess I got rid of all the earthlink
stuff.

If you know anything ,PLEASE e-mail (e-mail address removed),this is driving
me crazy.
 
Open Outlook Express, and use the Tools menu/Accounts, to open the properties of the old EarthLink account, and uncheck the box to
'include this account..." (or delete the account.)

Sign in as an Administrator, and open Control Panel User Accounts applet, highlight an account, click "Change my .NET Passport" on
'related tasks', see 'manage my network password' edit the list in that dialog remove the EarthLink account.

The start menu under sp2 has "Set Program Access and Defaults" to set the default email app used for your profile.
