Error Message "Unable to read file!

I use Excel 2002, I did an Office update I installed Office XP Service Pack
3, then I could not open any Excel file, I was working on them before. Could
someone help me solve this problem?

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See

I am using McAfee VirusScan, is there any confilct with McAfee?

Not that I know of. What happens when you try to open an Excel
file? If you get an error message, exactly what does it say?

Use Windows Explorer to search for a file named OFFICEAV.DLL on
the hard drive (be sure to include system and hidden
files/folders in the search options). If you find it, note the
folder where it is located, and use the "regsvr32 /u" method
described in KB329820 to unregister the DLL.
