Please be patient w/me as this is the first time I am posting a question. I
have already searched every thing I know to search for anwers to this
problem. I may be missing something cause I am by no means a computer expert.

1. When I start up my computer I receive - Motive SB.exe-Entry Point Not
Found - in the test of the error message is the following........

?InstallHook@@YAHKH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library
SBHook.dll

The error will stay on my screen until I click on OK.

2. When I am working w/a program - I can have only one window open -
anything from just checking emails to a word perfect document - my computer
seems to just "leave" the program window. I have to use my mouse to click
back on the item and the location I was working in. For instance - typing
this so far I have had to use my mouse at least 7-8 times to finish typing.

3. The entire computer - every program seems to be so slow. I have DSL. I
have done the "Disk Clean Up" - "Defragmented" - "Deleted Cookies" - "Deleted
Temp Files" - "Cleared System Restore" - I think I have covered all the basic
things. When I defragment my computer says I have 61% free space on my
computer.

I have Norton Internet Security which I keep updated.

I keep up to date w/all my updates from Microsoft - high security and any
others than seems to apply to my computer.

I use the "Windows Defender" from Microsoft as well.

I have used the "Malicious Software Removal Tool".

I also at times use the "Ad-Adware SE Personal".

I have also done the "Disk Scan" for any errors.

I keep my "Spam Settings" on high.

Can anyone please advise me what I am missing or help me in anyway - this is
really frustrating. I have had to use my mouse to click back on this message
about 20 times just to get this typed.

Thank you in advance to any assistance. It is greatly appreciated.

Go to Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs and uninstall Motive
SmartBridge. It was probably installed with your ISP's software and you
don't need it.

Thank you for your suggestion - I appreciate your time.

I went to "Control Panel" and "Add/Remove Programs" - I did not find "Motive
SmartBridge.

I also did a "Search" trying to find "Motive SmartBridge" - came up
w/nothing.

Any other suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Look through the seven posts available in this Google Groups search.
There's only about three different things you might try:

http://groups.google.com/groups/search?q=Motive+SB.exe&qt_s=Search

I'll give this a try and let you know - may take a while - computer is so
slow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Okay - one problem is fixed. The error message at start-up is finally gone.
I hope it stays that way. I did the clean boot and error finally showed up
on the "Loat StartUp Items". I did another search and search for "Motive"
instead of "Motive SmartBridge" - I then deleted everything that had "Motive"
in it - I then went back to my "Normal StartUp" and poop error was GONE ! ! !
!

I am however still having problems with my programs staying in the window I
am working in. I still have to click my mouse back on the window I am
working it. Any program I am working in seems to just stop - almost like it
is minimized, but the window is still open and shows on screen - I then have
to click my mouse back where I was working to continue - I may not be using
the correct terms - I just know it is frustrating.

Any suggestions for this? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Some program, or pop-up is causing the window to lose focus. How to
find out what's doing this, I don't know..

But, I just found a post that said TweakUI has an option to keep a
window from losing focus.

http://groups.google.com/group/micr...ndow+loses+focus&rnum=1&#doc_c0460e34901dd40b

The second post here suggests it could be spyware:

http://groups.google.com/groups?lnk=hpsg&q=window+loses+focus

Then there are 34,000 more posts to look at.

I have used the "TweakUI" - with that - I am able to work in what ever window
I have opened, but the "Active Title Bar" changes color like it has become
"Inactive". That makes me think there is another problem somewhere. I have
run my "Norton Virus Scan" - "Ad-Aware Scan" - "Earthlink Spyware Blocker
Scan". Anything that has shown up - I have deleted or disabled.

Since my "Active Title Bar" seems to become "inactive" while I am working in
a window with the "TweakUI" - is there something I am missing? Something
else I need to do?
