Hi all,

Today I started my Outlook 2k and got the following error message.

Unable to open the folder. Errors have been detected in the file
C:\WINDOWS\Local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst.

Please tell me how I can fix this. I was able to go to archive and download
today's email. However I can't get to my contact list, calendar etc. Please
help..

Thanks in advance.

Close Outlook - then find (using Windows search) the file names scanpst.exe.
Run it against your .pst file until there are no more errors.

How big is this .pst file?

Milly,

I ran the inbox repair tool. It scanned and found errors which I replyed to
fix. Well now I have my inbox and sent items. However, there are no
addresses in my address book. It shows the contact name but not the email
address.

The file was about 50 mb. But after the repair, it is only 10mb. How can I
get my adress book back?

Thanks

How many times did you run scanpst.exe and did you run it until there were
no more errors? I trust you have a backup of your .pst file somewhere and
it is a recent backup?
