How can I get rid of the following message and restore my
IE6 defaults?:

The requested URL /spresults.aspx was not found on this
server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while
trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Your system might be affected by the QHosts trojan.
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/darnit_3.htm#qhost

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"
Click the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings >
Select a provider from the list.
