Jason

I have XP Professional & Each time I boot up in the
morning a RUNDLL error message pops up stating "Error
Loading irprops.cpl I think this started once I upgraded
from home to professional.

Thanks, Jason

Jason ;
irprops.cpl = Wireless Link Control Panel Applet
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\irprops.cpl

Infrared Port properties
(located in C:\Windows\Driver cache\I386\Driver.cab until you install an
infrared device)

Jason,

I have the same problem - I bought my wife a new PC, and
just installed XP Pro over XP Home. All went fine, except
that I now have this same annoying error message - but it
doesn't seem to stop anything working . . . .

I searched my other PC with XP Pro, and found the
driver.cab file that Wes mentioned in his email . . . .but
I havent't managed to find a way of solving this error
message - have you? Maybe Wes could help?

Thomas

Wes,

Thanks for your response to Jason's posting - I have the
same problem as he does. I can see the files you mention
(on a different PC that works fine) - should I simply copy
the files from this working PC to my wife's PC (which has
the irprops.cpl error message)? What do you think?

All suggestions welcome!

Thomas

Thomas;
It's worth a shot to copy irprops.cpl
to C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache.

I'd try it, if it doesn't work for some reason, you can
try to expand it from C:\Windows\Driver cache\I386\Driver.cab.
