Currently running XP Home Edition on a Dell Dimension 8200. Lately, every
time I logon, I receive the following message: "Wks.Cal.exe failed to
initialize properly. Click "OK" to terminate the application".
When I run a search for Wks.Cal.exe, the file isn't found. I don't notice
any adverse effects in performance, but it's an annoyance to have to deal
with it every time.
Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

It's wkscal.exe not wks.cal.exe

wkscal.exe = Microsoft® Works Calendar

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared

Apparently you have your Works Calendar set to start
when you boot or have a reminder set. Maybe you need to disable it.
