Error message about driver

I just got a new computer and I wanted to install a software I had. I am
getting an answer message that says "This driver is not supported on Windows
2000". I have Windows XP. That is what I had before. Can you help?

Did you happen to Upgrade the old PC to XP after the software you are
talking about was installed? In other words was the software already on
the PC and then you upgraded the PC to Windows XP? If so, the software
installer is what is not working.

Use software that is for XP, NOT W2K.
