I have been working on repairing my system after a
virus. Successful so far, but I keep getting two types
of errors. The first one is when I try to open a program
that is already installed I get this error message 1327
Invalid Drive F:\. It starts with the windows installer
and then I get that message for some reason. I have tried
to unistall this program and it won't let me. Is there
any way around this? I also have tried to connect to the
internet with my ie6 browser and I keep getting an unable
to connect error. My dsl is connecting just fine, I just
can't use the browser. (using a friends computer now). I
have tried to go under add and remove to repair possible
damage and I recieve an error there also invalid inf
file. My operating system is Win XP Pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran into a similar issue, I ended up remapping another
drive to the "missing drive" and just go on with it. All
of my installers ( both MS and install shield ) believe
that the "F" drive ( in my case the "I" drive is the
system drive. I even ran a reg clear software and killed
every reference to the I drive I had in there..still
keeps looking for it, and I'm s and t of reinstalling
windows. The registry is worse then an adventure game
with 10 endings. Check the KDB for 1327 errors, something
there may solve yours, mine was solved by a drive remap (
which MS says can cause this problem in the first place)

What is the KDB? I went into the drive mapping and have
no clue what that even is.

Thanks for the input.
